They haven't won the ring yet, but RW may take them there.

Tom O'Brien may of done what he thought was best but he's looking like an idiot for the RW departure.

I don't have a problem whatsoever with his decision, but it does look bad for NC State.

The bad press NC State was getting during the Wisconsin/Nebraska game was embarrassing. State and O'Brien were both mentioned multiple times and never really in a good way.

Its gonna hurt their recruiting as well. You don't think other teams won't be bringing this whole deal up when NC State is on that recruits's short list?

    It's unfounded criticism.
    1. Russell Wilson isn't the main reason Wisconsin is undefeated. You could plug in pretty much any decent QB there and they're still undefeated. They have a monster OL and running game, and aside from Nebraska, their schedule is a breeze.

    2. Russell Wilson being gone isn't the reason State sucks this year. Their Defense is. Glennon is doing just fine.

    3. The reason Russell Wilson is gone from State is Russell Wilson. He would not even commit to football AT ALL this fall (remember he went through "senior day" celebration at State last year, as if it was his last year).
TOB could not just wait and hope for the best, he had to name his QB.
The media seems to portray poor Russell as the victim here, when in fact he was just pulling a "Farve".

I actually feel sorry for TOB, he is in a no win scenario.

TOB can't recruit anyway...I think that's going to be his undoing in another year or so. Remember, he's not Yow's hire.

This is the only part I'll disagree with. What difference would it have made if he left the door open for Wilson? He could have gone the route of saying "If Wilson returns it will be an open QB competition. All spots on this team are open for competition and have to be earned."

But he didn't. The door was open for Wilson. Wilson made a decision knowing the door would close behind him. It's done. I have no problem with O'Brien running the team. Like Odin said, his lack of solid recruiting will be his doom.
