I think Bowlin and Elway just wanted a stop-gap coach, and Fox has never been the kind to turn down a payday. It's a perfect marriage.

 

The offense has been better than anyone could have hoped. The real problems are with special teams and the defense. Injuries have hurt but the D was already giving up too many big plays when Davis and Beason were still healthy. I think it is the scheme. Meeks bend but don't break stuff was working fairly well last year. The new Eagles scheme is not working out yet. Special teams have been awful.

Sure converting more TDs in the red zone would help cover up for the defense and special teams screw ups but to say that is the main reason for losses is just wrong.

 

I saw something somewhere yesterday that lead me to interpret it this way:

Olsen probably said something like great game hell of a try etc, Cam didn't want to hear that. I don't think Olsen was giving him shit.

I could be wrong, he could have said hey I was open on such and such play yada yada.

Hopfully it was: "Hey Cam, man, I was only double covered by short doods all day. Why the fuk are you throwing to that no-catching fukup, LA, instead of me, dood? No wonder we lost!"

 

That's probably when Cam got mad and said, "dude, you had a bad day, other than that garbage time TD. You dropped a ball, you ran poor routes, you got a false start, and you whiffed on a tackle during that INT return. I damn near thought you were backing your Chicago homies there for a while."
