You're probably forgetting how horrible this team was in 2010. It's basically the same team, save for a role player here and there. What he's doing as a rookie QB on a bad team is remarkable.

1-3 is better than 0-4, but barely.

They're competitive every week. That's a huge shift from last year.

Yep, sure is. Pretty much over by halftime last year.

Can only hope that between now and next year these mechanics get fixed, and the defense too.

I can't believe we're talking about Cam, after the run defense didn't bother to show up, and Murphy's Heros blew another game in just four shots so far.

Cam is not the reason we're 1-3. The coaching is, and our bedraggled and limping defense is. And that fact that we are only fielding two out of three units each week, while the third unit never bothers to show.

Is it too much to make a statement and fucking fire Murphy tomorrow?

Actually the Panthers were in every game until the wheels came off in Week 9. That started a streak of blowouts aside from the Cleveland loss and the win against Arizona. Take away the garbage time TDs against Green Bay & Chicago, then the scoring differential really hasn't changed from the first five games of 2010.

We were close in a few of them, but in no way was it similar. We never really had a notion that we could've won. We never really believed we might, or that another play here, or there, would've produced another outcome.

I blame Foxy for a lot of this, and Richardson and his goddamn war, but the mentality was abysmal, and losing became what we expected week in and week out.

We were simply dreadful. Just dreadful, and the offense never kept us in games. And our defense was average, and because of it, some were praising Meeks as the next Jesus Christ on steroids.

    Yeah, it was wasted year.

I kind of hate the Panthers now, and everything that lives and breathes in Charlotte (I've actually had dreams about setting the city on fire, along with it's suburbs), but I can totally understand why Panther fans have some optimism.
