    pretty much this.

i didn't notice but guessing kept tight coverage on our backs to not give him easy options or let screens and draws get untracked.

i think Jax found the scheme we will be seeing for a while now ... until Cam can make teams pay with the short passing game (more prone to make mistakes and try to force throw into double coverage). teams are going to try to take away the deep stuff and make Cam beat them with the shorter stuff cuz Cam:

    1) has shown to be very good on long passes
    2) has a hard time being patient
    3) has enough accuracy problems on the shorter stuff to give them lots of hope

flood defenders into coverage, keep receivers in from of them and try to get enough pressure to make him hurry by the time he finds a receiver open. Expect Chud will try to open the next game looking to complete some short timing passes to try to get the Bears to be more aggressive with their pass D.

To me it didn't seem like zone coverage bothered him much - he was able to find the open receiver just threw too high.

He still looks for 89 WAY too much. It's like a TE or Smith and that's it.

Maybe he only plays well when behind.

He should look to 89 a lot.

He still throws to his other receivers plenty. He'll hit his backs, distribute well. He does force it to 89, but we went to the Superbowl forcing shit to 89 and 87 sometimes too, so...I'll take it.

Me? I want him to target 88 a lot more.

Cam's actually very good at distributing the ball well for such an early stage in his career.

Mostly this was it. I do think he seemed to be pressing a bit the 1st quarter which is when most of the bad throws happened. Well the 2nd quarter was the toilet bowl of a game. I thought he settled down in the 2nd half and went to the shorter routes, backs and TEs which seemed to work.

Lets not panic here. I mean hell Brady threw 4 interceptions yesterday.

he did that -- again one reason i think we will see a lot of defenders playing behind our receivers and a lot of zone coverage. he misses even when guys are wide-ass open.

but he also forced some throws into tight coverage and made some bad reads and was nearly picked at least a couple of times -- other reasons why i think teams are going to be wanting him to throw a lot of shorter routes.

they know he can burn them long, he can't be flustered into mistakes and he can extend plays.

the book on him is he is inaccurate. i think it's correctable because it's footwork. that's correctable. mostly just bad habits from things being so easy for him in the past. his throwing motion, i think is supposed to be pretty textbook. unlike Big Ben, he seems to be able to throw it to either side of the field with ease. he gets his accuracy and patience corrected and he is going to blow up this league.
