Now Paterno is talking like he wants Penn State to join the ACC, so I apologize to LClefty. I still doubt it happens because I think the university board is very happy in the Big 10+x.

Of course it has a lot more do with other schools than UNC and the ACC, I don't think I said anything that you seem to love implying when called out on it. Sure, I would agree money is the major factor, but there are other factors as well such as Academics. You are the one that said academics have no bearing on which teams go where this round, which just isn't true. ALL schools cheat, some at different levels, some get caught, others don't.

I think there are a ton of back room meetings going on right now, some valid and others just smoke and mirrors.

I think you're being overly sensitive. I didn't get the sense that he was attacking Carolina.

You are correct. I wasn't attacking Chapel Hill or the ACC. I was just stating an opinion concerning the reasoning behind the new conference shakeups. I have come around to see academics play a part, but I still firmly believe that part is seconday or even tertiary behind money.

Sure, believe that if it makes you feel better about your adopted school cheating. I personally don't think every school in the country cheats.

How do you know your school sucks? When the SEC turns you down because of academics. Damn WVU.

This makes me think the SEC wants Clemson, FSU or VA Tech (or someone east of Auburn). Not about the "money" footprint. How much more do really think you can make? All about the balance of the league now. Trying to keep rivalries and tradition intact. Auburn moving to the east would be a disaster. Auburn and Alabama moving to east would be even more of a disaster.
Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee in one division?

lol but you are assuming the real reason the SEC turned down WVU was due to academics. May of been what was said, but, like you, I think maybe the SEC is holding out to see if some other "better" team expresses interest or becomes available.
