Well, it's what most people mean when they say "franchise quarterback."

I really don't care to debate or even consider majority or whether that makes it "right", but there are a shitload of people who consider Freeman a franchise quarterback. Debating the shades of gray over the meaning of a non-concrete word must be the most boring fucking shit someone could possibly have a major issue with, unless you're into politics.

Yeah, but those people are suggesting that he's elite or soon-to-be. As Pi mentioned, there's a tendency to throw around the term prematurely whenever any young quarterback shows signs of being special. The same kind of thing happens in baseball where any dominant outing by a young pitcher has people saying the guy either is or will be a "#1 starter."

#29 in ESPN's new QBR stat, at 25.2. 1-100 grade scale for those who don't know.

Tells the story, there's hope but he has a long way to go.

And yes he's better than Clausen.

As good as he's looked, I think it's crazy to label anyone "elite" after 2 games. That just seems like common sense. Nobody even called Brady elite after coming in during game 3 and taking an 0-2 team to a SB win and winning the MVP of that game. Slow down people.
