What's one of the best parts to me this season is, the unity that's showing. It's amazing. I like it. And soon...this team is going to be really fucking good.

We just need some more pieces.

Pass defense was ok. 30 points, I can't say we were good. 30 points is way too much, but we did some good things, and the D held up pretty well I suppose.

    Our run D still stinks.

Yea they scored a significant amount of points. We didn't get owned and it didn't look as easy for the packers today as it did against the saints. The offense also turned the ball over 4 times which hurts. 30 points is far too much but I left more encouraged about our d then going into the game

One area I'm concerned with is the lack of turnovers generated.

edit: well, I wuz late. Jaz covered a lot of it. :end edit.

4 turnovers, we got one I think. So minus 3. Against the SB champs who actually have more healthy players now than in the SB, and ran over NO last week. I don't think the team knows the defense very well yet, and we lack talent in more than one area. I think we were lucky it was only 30.

Our DTs are getting beat like stepchildren, which they pretty much are. Need five yards? Run it up our gut.

Dude what did you expect out of this season?
A first time head coach and a new, never having worked together, staff . A rookie, most consider a project, qb. A defense using, for them, a different defensenive scheme and the lack of ota(s) this spring. The no ota thing doesn`t seem to effect a team where nothing has changed, like Green Bay.
Its a different world for the Panthers and I thought the job done the first 2 games was nothing short of remarkable.
I didn`t even expect for them to even be mediocre, I thought blow-out city every game. I`ve been entertained each game with the positives I`ve seen. The defense was given short fields to work because of the turnovers and I thought did ok. The lack of a run game in the offense has me the most worried. If it had been even average yesterday then the Panthers would have won.
    Its only football, relax.

Most all the bases have been covered as far as my thoughts. Lots of questions, expected much worse play yesterday. Expectations for the season? I don't know. Hope for future success and working towards that, I guess.

Pugh still is the D's weekest link, though the D looks better than I thought they would. Good stops most times, but somehow we have a brain fart and get gashed. Did I say Pugh sucks? Especially in coverage.

Newtone, while exciting and doing well foor a rook, does have some bad mechanics. Other faults mentioned earlier, hope they help him get over some of that.

First quarter was best Panther play in recent memory. O and D.

Most exciting overall game, playing a great football team, than we've had since the Vikes and Giants 09Even though we lost.

We need better run blocking, especially trapping and such, along with a better FB, a good safety, CB and DT, and we might arrive at being towards seriously competitive, especially if Newton improves his mechanics.

Even though Newton has his faults and all, he has put us on the map again, and gives us hope. Makes us exciting to watch, etc. It's kinda bittersweet, imo.

What's with declining the holding penalty to make it 3nd and 7 at out our 30, instead of accepting it and being 2nd and 17 @ our 20?

Without the turnovers and two blown plays on D, we win that game yesterday in good fashion against a very good team. That, with a below average team, no rushing threat and a rook QB with multiple faults. Can't remember back to back loses being so exciting and not be pissed about it.

Can't afford more pieces. The team is capped out for years to come. But yeah, Cam is showing all the right things in terms of his attitude.

"It's frustrating that we couldn't give them something to cheer about at the end," Gross said after a 13-0 lead dissipated in a 30-23 loss. "The fans are dying for success. They were happy that we were in the game last week (a 28-21 loss at Arizona), and they'll probably be fairly happy about this - and that's a sad thing."

I know that we shoulda sucked dick so far, and that we shouldn't have been in any game this season, and that we should be grateful that we're here. Only, I'm a little smarter than you and I realize that we have the roster to compete and even win a few games, and that so far, our wounds have been largely self inflicted. I know that if we clean up some of these issues and keep pushing to get better - a notion you seem to detest, you average piece of shit - that we can actually be a good NFL football team.

So please, no lectures from the likes of you. Go back to cheering losses and jacking off to pictures of Cam and doing your little indian dances at night by a bonfire celebrating a more exciting winless season.

I've been on the Newton bandwagon for a while, and am thrilled he has shown potential to be a Superstar, and at the very least, a capable starter; but I want to see us eliminate mistakes and be a damn good team again.

Don't tell me to relax, when you're telling me to be a "good little trooper", as if I'm supposed to just cheer and be blissful about a loss. That's you, that's not me, and that's probably why you've always come off like an idiot. It's ok, it's just your thing, not mine.
