I think your point was that people from Pittsburgh talk about what a great city it is yet they all move away and don't go back.

It's a myth that steeler fans "travel well". The truth is that every state is full of them because they get the fuck out of that shithole city and infest other cities where they breed like cockroaches producing more mullet wearing dipshits that walk around in those stupid game jerseys. Apparently a polyester Hines Ward Jersey from Walmart is some sort of retard status symbol among them.

Southernyankee is the prototypical douchbag steeler fan.

Basically sucked. I had four very nerdy Steelers fans sitting right behind me. In fact, Steeler fan showed up in large numbers and was hard to be around. The guy right behind me was narrating the entire game to the fella sitting next to him. I found that standing up and yelling 'First down!' was the best way to get back at them. I heard him say 'That's going to get annoying' after I did it a couple times. It was very satisfying to turn to him and reply - 'No more than hearing your dumbass analysis for every play'.

The best thing to happen was when this very lovely (and drunk) twenty something gal came and sat beside me with her companion for the night. She was for Panthers and he was for Steelers. I enjoyed her rubbing against me and she and I both were bonding over the fact that we were the few Panther fans among so many wanna-be Steeler fans. I think nerdy Pollack Steeler fan was a bit intimidated by her because he shut the fuck up as soon as she sat down.

Overall, I was encouraged by the play of Newton. I think he has been throttled a bit by the coaching staff putting emphasis on the need to learn the pure passing game. I believe when the sparring gloves come off that he will make some plays. I also think the o-line will improve before the d-line does.

AE may not improve. I think he is lost and will not be found on a football field playing wide receiver. I was very disappointed that we didn't get to see him take snaps in the Wild Mountaineer. The Jets were doing it with Jeremy Kerley against the Giants and even let him throw out of it. It was bad ass and frustrating the defense. I think it is going to take getting Armanti out there and involved and getting hit to make the player in him come out. Or maybe not. He is not making much of a case to earn a roster spot in my opinion.

We may score some points against the Cards on the 11th, but I don't see us being able to stop them from scoring at all. Panthers will lose by at least 10 points.

Defense 24 Kevin Payne and 46 Thomas Williams were laying down some hits. Burney lost his jock strap on the sideline play.

I have no idea how a guy - Dwyer that ran like a 4.79 40 at the NFL combine could outrun an entire NFL defense but he made the Panthers D look pretty bad on the scoring play.

Finally I swear, Steeler fan is as bad as Cowboy fan. Bandwagon and front-runner all. And by-the-way you will see half of those that were wearing black and gold tonight wearing black and blue the rest of the year. The other half you will not see at all because this was the only night that they ventured out of their abnormal, pathetic, backwards-ass existence for the year. Makes me sick.

About Dwyer, 2 things.

1) Actually rated that kid, thought Pitt got a steal of the draft. Thought he got pegged as a system guy, kids got size, strength and talent.

2) CJ Wilson wiffed on Dwyer at the line, guess that was the last straw.

And about Armanti, i think having Newton kinda kills any mountaineer/wildcat stuff for Edwards. He's gonna have too keep that roster spot as a WR/Returner. Jury still very much out on that IMO. Is Edwards a better WR than Clowney?

I`d have to say no from what I`ve seen. Neither has the hands to be reliable, but between the two, Clowney appeared to be better.
