Bengals/Panthers Gameday Threadness

If the hurricane takes a left and destroys BoA stadium, would the Panthers get to forfeit all their games?

Actually, I really don't want the Panthers to end up with the #1 pick again. Not only would it be embarrassing, but it will be incredibly painful to pass on Luck (most likely via a trade down) because Hurney idiotically hitched his wagon to Cam.

 

If Hurney is dumb enough to draft a defensive end to play QB, would logic not suggest he's dumb enough to draft Luck and stack up the roster with young QB's?

 

This continues to bug me the more I think about it. Taylor is a better athlete, he's faster, and he's a better passer. So what's the difference between being #1 overall and the 15th pick of the 6th round? 5 inches and 50 pounds.

 

Cam isn't a defensive end or a tight end or anything else; those are just jokes. Newton is a legitimate NFL quarterback, but what sucks for the Panthers is that he absolutely never should have even been considered at #1 and maybe not even in the first round. At absolute, absolute best he can just become a league average quarterback who wins games by making plays despite spotty accuracy. And that's the best case. But no, Hurney would not under any circumstances take Luck one season after Newton.
