    Yeah, this doesn't look to be a team that's ready to compete in the NFL.

    Knew Cam would struggle, and the fact is he's not ready to start. What worries me is that the defense looks awful. I mean, not since Marshall has something been so thoroughly disappointing.

    Too much coddling by Rivera, perhaps? Whatever. Dude's gotta do what he's gotta do to get this team's attention.

    For now, yeah he is, but that shouldn't be a surprise. Dalton is a smart kid and a four year starter, which is why I pegged him to have the best rookie season out of this QB class.

    Getting a really bad feeling that Smith might have another big blowup this season.

    Yeah, honestly it's not Cam i'M WORRIED ABOUT. We knew he'd be here, and he's farther along than I thought he'd be.

    It's the fact that we've made Chad fucking Henne and Dalton look like Brady and Manning.

    We're in for a long season. The defense doesn't look like they should be on an NFL field.

    It's early, though. It's still early. Let's just improve week to week and see where we are....

    I don't know. I don't have confidence in my reaction, and the offense seems to have come out of the second half tunnel with some urgency. Maybe the defense does too. Or we need a veteran nose tackle so people will keep gap integrity instead of trying to cover everyone else's. I've seen a lot of attack on D, guys getting free, just not in the right places. That combination reminds me a lot of our 04 defense.

    FWIW, we've been penalized a ton, too. Sloppy as hell. Veterans, too.
