Good to have him signed long term. They've done what they said they were gonna do, keep the core intact. If they have to overpay, so be it. We won 2 games last year! we fucking have to pay more to keep our guys from signing with playoff contending teams.

Please stop and think about what you just posted. If you're a 2-14, then why would you pay astronomical amounts to keep that roster together? How does that make you better? It seems to me like if you do not add much outside talent to a 2-14 roster, then you're going to be a losing team for many years to come. Who have the Patriots made a top-5 paid player besides Tom Brady, who is a top-5 player? Who have the Eagles made a top-5 paid player? Who have the Steelers made a top-5 paid player? If you want to be a good team, you can't afford to keep overpaying for replaceable talent.

I'm saying because we only won 2 games it's harder for us to keep our guys. Players usually dont wanna re-sign with a rebuilding franchise. Hence that's why were overpaying. I got no problem with it, it's not my money.

I know that a lot of you disagree but I think our core is solid enough to be a playoff and maybe championship team, if we get a good QB in place. It looks like the front office agrees. Hopefully Cam will turn out to be that guy and sooner rather than later.

There are not many teams that can win with a weak QB, the Jets maybe?

I watched part of it and it was sad but Smith was not playing, neither was Beason or Otah.

I am not sure we will win more than 2 games again this year unless one of our QBs is able to step up. That is why I wanted a veteran QB. Newton may end up being good but it will likely take a while. Trading for Kyle Orton and drafting a DT or corner would have made us better much quicker.

It's fine in major league baseball where there is no salary cap, but grossly overpaying to keep your own players in the NFL means that you don't have enough cap room to sign outside talent, and a 2-14 team desperately needed to bring in outside talent. Remember that the Panthers already have less cap room in 2012 and 2013 than any other team in the league.

we should just keep having the same argument over and over again, and then post punctuation to show that we're tired of having the same argument over and over.
