I'm surprised there's anything 212 that hasn't already been taken up by Manhattan.

 

I was pleasantly surprised too.

 

What you described is very similar to what happened to me a few years ago, except Brett Borden told me that someone from the media complained about me and my coverage.

 

The two "power brokers" in PR (you know who they are) and I are on the same page. Most everyone else, unless you want spend 2-3 hours socializing and screwing around, matter none to me.

Lot of bitter people in this biz. Guess that's why it doesn't nag at me, seeing how I was fucking born into it.

One guy was there for most of camp, and he couldn't tell you the first thing about 3/5/7-step drops. And, funny, he could care less, too. That's what fuels my work. It may suck to most, but it's all rooted in research, analysis and facts.

Nobody really knows these guys, especially those in the media that claim they do.

He's a good interview, and a nice guy. That's good enough for me. The last guy here was 1-for-2 in that department.

 

Why all the bitterness in the media? and who is this "rat"? Why are they concerned with your loss?

 

There's no bitterness, dude. Relax. You have to kind of know me a little bit to understand that I can be a royal pain in the ass. I know who the "rats" are, and I don't give two shits. Rat on!

 

status quo seems very important to maintain. I'm sure there is resistance to new people just as there is to new media.

 

Yep.

Let's put it this way: I have no issues with:

1. Anyone that works for the team
2. Any beat writer/columnists
3. Anyone of consequence

I came, I saw, I'm ready for football.
