really? The word you found fascinating enough to focus on was "we"?

I hear ya, but it's pretty hard to argue that Clausen would offer more immediate success.

I'm guessing it's Cam. Tough call. Easier to start Clausen 9/11, short leash him, and put in Cam. And leave in Cam. Cam starts 0-6 and struggles, pulling him seems awful.

I know that last year we were behind alot. When behind, I don't want the game in Clausen's hands - based on last year. I'd prefer it in Cam's.

    Cam.

it depends on what you want to do. One game in I'm not convinced either's ready to be what they should be in a few years. Whoever can move the ball, should be it. Who is it? I'm not going to pretend I know.

Cam probably does play early and often. The thing is, we'll run a lot. We'll have to throw to Smith. I think with Cam, you're probably limiting his throws (maybe Clausen too). Is 8/19 enough to make it in a game? Not efficient enough. I dunno. I've read a lot of great "this guy is good, this guy is shit" "no, don't fucking say this guy is good, fuck this guy you goddamned idiot, and don't say this other guy isn't good enough he's fucking fantastic" about both guys after one game when neither one of them converted a third down.

Stop it!!!! You're being dishonest again.

WE just said Cam looked very good for his first preseason game, and not nearly as bad as WE expected.

On the other hand, WE saw a lot of Clausen from last year and it's OUR impression from the first game that he hasn't improved much if any. Yes, it has only been one game and there have been a variety of reports from camp about JC, a lot of them good. So, WE are ever hopeful that WE are wrong.

And WE did not call anyone an idiot, much less a fucking idiot. I personally was disappointed as I find the creativeness of his trash talk one of Collin's more endearing qualities.

btw, the goal is not to convert 3rd downs but to put points on the board. 20 pts i think is a marked improvement over last year. still, we need a lot better. i think Cam has a better chance of improving quickly than JC. could be wrong. does sound like JC is getting better this week.

I'd rather go with the safest long term plan IMO, which is Cam sits.

But the fans, the locker room, the media, and even the coaches are worried about wins. Wins are nice, great even. But as someone said, what if Cam loses six straight and looks like shit? Not good.

I'd rather try to win a couple of games with Clausen, rehabilitate his value, and if that fails six straight, then decide whether it's Cam time. But I doubt that happens.

Well, if you actually knew what you were talking about then you wouldn't be as relentlessly annoying as you are. Jesus, it's not like I didn't provide facts proving you wrong regarding the things you claimed on Clausen and Newton.

just trying to fully draw at your opinion and any facts you may have absent mindedly omitted ... at the cost of being extremely annoying. and, it seemed to me that you were waffling somewhat so i just wanted to make sure i got it exactly right.

you've been mistaken on the facts before, not often and not on purpose i know, but because of that i now have to go back and verify everything you say before i just accept it as fact. and, ain't had a chance to do that. my marriage is currently a higher priority. not really, but i try to pretend it is when she's around.

    love you.

This board gets awfully weird sometimes.

    1. The constant emasculation and retorts providing evidence that there are deeply wounded feelings and secret crushes....

    2. The sudden and pleasant transformation of Abusive from a clown to a guy who is getting really good at what he does and now has to juggle the personalities...and the bizarre spate of asskissing that follows now, because he has "access"...

    3. The feeling that sometimes people ROOT for players to fail so they can be proven right....

Yeah. Just weird. Carolina Panthers football is back. :p
