Nope, never did. I cursed and threw shit, but never booed him. Then again, I haven't been going to games nearly as over the last five years as I did the five before that. The stadium experience just isn't much fun.

All the DEs were pretty much invisible. No pressure, not many tackles.

The way Clausen delivers the ball throwing at a 45 degree angle it's a wonder he hasn't caught a hit to his arm and shreaded it.

    And way out of position...

I was impressed with DTs though. Go back and re-watch the first quarter when the projected starters were in. Except for one play they were strong at the point of attack. A rookie and and a 2nd year player going against 3 pro bowlers and making plays. Not saying they are the second coming but WAY better than I thought we'd be.

Disappointing. I guess the noise about Norwood has been for the purpose of lighting a fire under Brown and Hardy.

Newton impressed me. First pro game with no OTA's, no contact with the coaching staff till training camp and he did alright. Hit some nice throws, missed a couple, had a couple dropped and he didn't take off and run at the first hint of pressure and kept his head up and looked downfield. He's not going to be an All-Pro this season but down the road I think we have a keeper.

Norwood and Brown I'd like to go back again and rewatch, but I didn't see anything of interest. I remember vividly a spin move from Norwood, and he was supposed to be the physical one, but one play isn't a player. Neither distinguished enough to suggest having gained anything over Hardy.

I do remember us having solid contain, and I want to see whether the held up at the POA like the DTs.

Said it before as have others but DTs were just better, on average, per play. Not enough to say about pass rush individually but want to go back and see if there were any positives.

Clausen looked good enough. I think Burney stood out by making 2 great plays on the ball. Edwards looked more comfortable as a PR, but he's still not worth the 33rd pick of this year's draft.

I wasn't impressed with Gross, who was burnt by Pierre-Paul. DE, where were they?

Clausen bails at the slightest hint of pressure, doesn't step up into the pocket, can't throw the ball over the DL, floats the ball and is slow. I hate seeing a QB throw for a 2 yard gain on 3rd and long. Lack of balls. But otherwise, looked good enough ... maybe in 3 or 4 years but not anytime soon.

Edwards' teammates might disagree with you, particularly Shockey. Both of those punt returns displayed some amazing moves, quickness, speed and vision. If he can translate that to the WR position he is gonna be scary. I don't see any reason why he can't. I don't have much faith LaFell or the newbie from SD are going to give us much. Edwards, on the otherhand, has a chance to be dynamite.

DL had little pass rush. They were pretty much handled on passing plays though they held up decent enough on running plays. Hopefully, that changes when CJ and Hardy come back. But as of now a concern. If we can get a good push on passing plays from our D-line our D will be awesome. But a big "if" as of now.

Anderson ... omg he put some licks on some folks. He's come a long way in the past couple of years. Sean (is that correct) was all over the place at least against the run and in ST. Tony F is a beast on kick coverage. The rook WR is impressive as well. I think he makes the team. The TE from the Jets wasn't bad but I wasn't overly impressed. Same for Gaither (SP?) the LB.

Overall, our D was bringing the pain. Pugh is a headhunter and needs to be careful or he's gonna get fined.

Anybody notice missed tackles? I wasn't paying a lot of attention but seemed to me the tackling was much improved. Guys were wrapping up. Nice change I think.

Newt is gonna be a helluva QB once he settles down. I'll leave it at that. If you can't see it, that's your issue not mine.

    Double Trouble, freaking awesome.

Chud ... awesome stuff. I'm gonna love this staff. I think I even saw a glimpse of a smile on JR.

Clausen - more of the same. Nice touchdown, seemed timid in pocket, and a pick 6. His redeeming factor was that he threw a nice TD after a pick 6.

Newton - very good cherry popper for a 22 year old kid. Agree with Headcase regarding both QB's, and Edwards for that matter.

    Chudzinski was fun.

    Defensive playcalling was fun.
