I like what I saw from Greg Olsen, Barnidge,Armanti, Burney, Senn and Considine

Duke Robinson had 2 penalties, Gross, CJ Wilson, Naanee and LaFell didn't step up for #2 spot.

I thought LaFell had a really good game, actually.

Wilson, as a vet, I was expecting more from. Naanee lost ground.
Just one game though, and games will matter more this year.

Yeah, Im thinking Robert McClain and RJ Stanford gained ground on Wilson for a CB spot on the roster.

Did Clausen play with/against all 1st string and Newton with/against all 2nd string? Or were there still #1s in with and against Newton?

I think Newton got some firsts, especially line. Maybe 2 series at most. A lot of 'starters' were slated to be second stringers so played past then, but I doubt you were concerned with Garry Williams as much as Ryan Kalil.

Don't worry about Gross' poor performance. He doesn't like to lift weights during the off-season, so he'll be in game shape sometime around Week 6 or so.
