correct. Your immediate backing down is a great way of acknowledging your own hypocrisy.

while you're playing turtle at the hands of your own tricks, did you ever admit you were wrong about the comeback route thing?

Don't know, but if I didn't, then I was wrong about comeback routes not being in NFL playbooks. I do love how you're so insanely obsessed that you just keep bumping the thread, though. The fact that this is coming on a subject where you've completely misrepresented Marty Hurney's responsibilities just takes your insanity to all new levels of comedy.

So is your position now that Bill Polian has nothing to do with contract negotiations? Zero involvement whatsoever? No input of any kind?

I don't think I could bump this enough to match your level of obsession. Still, at least you almost started talking about the real subject in this situation, if you didn't show where I said all those things (or admitted otherwise), since again that's the sort of thing you'd hammer mercilessly.

I'm really amazed that the want to oust Hurney is so ingrained in you that you can't see that Jerry Richardson makes things happen. That's the basic idea of this thread, since you made sure things went so far astray - he talked about a bit of his involvement. If you don't understand it's a team environment out there, that Hurney was hired to be an intermediary, I don't know what to say.

You made a good point, so don't ruin it by pretending to be stupid. Chris is Bill's son, and they gave him that position in name only as a means of trying to secure a future for him in the NFL when Bill finally retires.

Dude, you've been relentlessly bumping threads over and over even when I've let you have the last word because I get sick of arguing with you. You keep bumping them because you are obsessed, defensive, and embarrassed. You know that you lied for years about Merriman just because you can't admit to your mistakes. You know that you lied about how much "a handful" of sweeps really was when I counted plays during the 2009 season and proved you unquestionably wrong about something you said. Whenever we argue, I usually find information that proves you wrong and you always refuse to admit your mistake. Meanwhile on the occasions where you do prove me wrong, I admit it. That's one of the main differences between us, and why I routinely kick your ass in these arguments. You cannot be honest with yourself, and therefore you cannot make yourself abandon a false position or take an unbiased look at the Panthers.

I have never at any point suggested that Jerry Richardson isn't involved. That's you lying again. I've repeatedly made the point that Richardson isn't an absentee owner. I'm the one who said that Richardson was involved with the Gilbert signing, which you initially denied because you wanted to blame it all on Capers. I've also always said that JR decided that Peppers should go while Gross should stay. Meanwhile you're the one who insisted that you didn't know if George Seifert had or even wanted personnel power during his time here when that was a widely reported fact known to pretty much every Panthers fan. You already knew he did, but you were willing to lie because you're that obsessed.

The problem here is when you make a complete fool of yourself by trying to pretend that Richardson is the one constructing the roster or deciding how much players will get in their contracts. He doesn't and never has, and the only reason you're pretending to be stupid enough to believe that is precisely because you're so bitter, obsessed, and dishonest that you will pretend that's the case since you want to defend Hurney. Hurney is the general manager of the Carolina Panthers. Teams where the owner takes those functions do not have a separate general manager. Oakland doesn't. Cincinnati doesn't. Dallas doesn't. Richardson is not and never has been that type of owner, no matter how many times you lie and try to pretend that he is.

Now take the hint and shut the fuck up.

Since I started posting punctuation hoping he would just let this partially aborted thread die. Arguing with magnus gives me as much of a headache as it does you reading it.
