up to now my thoughts on Richardson's involvement is correct and yours incorrect. we don't know how much involvement he has on the contracts but it's safe to assume the decision making is an involved process and JR isn't simply an end user. If you want, show me reasons, outside preconceived notions, that suggests JR has no idea about these contracts.

Nothing besides you continuing to pretend that you don't understand the concept of "General Manager."

Hardly. Magnus pretending that JR is responsible for everything that is supposedly Marty Hurney's job has certainly not been validated. I don't know why magnus wants to pretend that everything Hurney does wrong is somehow not his fault, but anyone with a brain should know how ridiculous it is.

"Jerry Jones, Owner, President and General Manager"

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Brown_(NFL_owner)

"Michael "Mike" Brown (born 1937) is the owner of the Cincinnati Bengals, an American football team in the National Football League. He is the son of former Cleveland Browns, Ohio State University and Cincinnati Bengals coach/co-founder, Paul Brown.

Brown's ownership has been criticized for a lack of on-field success, his refusal to cede football operations to a general manager
    "

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Davis

"Allen "Al" Davis (born July 4, 1929) is an American football executive who currently serves as the principal owner (titled as "president of the general partner" or "managing general partner," depending on the source) of the NFL's Oakland Raiders."

Magnus wants to pretend that Jerry Richardson is like those owners, intimately involved in the day to day football operations of his team. But those teams do not have general managers, as the team owners also occupy those positions. The Carolina Panthers have not ever at any point been organized that way, despite magnus insisting that JR has been calling all the shots "for the last 14 years." Magnus wants to pretend that Marty Hurney is responsible for absolutely nothing, that he's just a guy with a title sitting in an office somewhere doing absolutely nothing that he isn't told to do. Magnus says that Hurney isn't responsible for the roster, that Richardson is. Magnus says that Hurney isn't responsible for contracts, that Rob Rogers is. Anyone with a brain should be able to see through that bullshit, but some so desperately wish I was wrong that they're willing to pretend Marty Hurney is not responsible for anything at all.

I think magnus is ahead, but only slightly. The debate/argument should continue until consensus is reached on a clear winner.

I'll correct more later when I can fully wade through it, but for now you can start by showing where I said Marty Hurney's title was other than GM? I have also expressly gone without starting blame or denying blame. I'm not concerned with blame. I'm stating the way youhave talked about roles is mis represented. So, I'll be back to show you a little later the things you said that, had others said them, would get them branded liars.
