The Olson trade really worked out for the panthers. I remember that draft they were gonna take Olson but instead took Beason. I remember Kiper shitting a brick saying they were stupid and didn\'t see why they drafted Beason over Olson lol Guess a couple years later we got our wish. I\'m Excited about this season. Got my NFL ticket ready (since i live in cal) Just hope the whole DT/CB thing works out and players step the hell up.

yeah, the idea he would lead labor but have no involvement in his team seemed unlikely, excepting that I already knew that to be untrue.

Nice Beason clip. Fun to see some of those names scroll by before JB:

    Aaron Ross
    Jamarcus Rusell
    Jamaal Anderson
    Justin Harrell
    The Ted Ginn Family
    Jarvis Moss
    Reggie Nelson
    Brady Quinn

Man, 2007. Back when Hurney collected extra picks as opposed to throwing them away.

    heh

I remember thinking it wouldn't be bad if we took him, like in February. We needed S help.

Don't let facts get in your way, but I've always acknowledged that JR involves himself with players. He wanted Gross to stay and wanted Peppers to go, for instance. Where magnus looked like an ass was trying to pretend that JR was drawing up the contracts instead of Hurney.

I never said he did. Remember, I introduced you to Rob Rogers, a key piece you apparently didn't know about (since you're lecturing me on how things go in Mint St). Hurney's responsible for these contracts, and I'm certain JR put ranges on them, too.

But, great job sidestepping the fact that JR is involved in control over his football team. The important thing is to quibble over minor details instead of noticing that Jerry Richardson has talked extensively about being a big part of the decision making. And that's largely gone ignored #intellectualhonesty
