Anderson is a strange case. He was really good that one year in Cleveland then it all fell apart for him. He has sucked ever since. I do like the fact that he is young enough to actually be expected to play a whole season if necessary. That is not something you can say about Bulger.

He wasn't even that good that year. 19 INTs, less than 60 comp%

p99 is right. I was close enough to Cleveland then to see plenty of Anderson and he was not making starter quality throws and decisions much of the time. If they sign Anderson it could likely be the new regimes first major screw up. Yes overpaying is bad but that's the GM/owner, and at least you have those players. With Anderson (who is now in the too old or used up to be a starter category) the panthers still would not have a proven starter at the most vital position on the team. It's up to the new coaching staff to impress upon the FO the most important areas to upgrade. Maybe they feel like JC will be more improved than folks here think and he can be starter quality until CN can legitimately overtake him. It just seems like a glaring over site so far to me.

He's not an anything caliber QB. He's a future car salesman with a strong arm.

he's a future Cars salesman with a strong arm with a contract to play QB in Carolina. (deal being finalized as I type)
