all these twats are laughing at the panthers spending spree. if they were the lowest(or one of) payrolls aren't they pretty much forced spend to catch up?

they're also doing pretty much what they said they would, with who they said they would. I don't know why anyone's suddenly shocked, outside of the Kasay/Mare thing to a point.

    Agree.

I'm a little shocked at the $$ amount for Johnson. Kinda like premature ejaculation, and you hadn't jerked off in a week. BLOOOOORT.

Other than that, no big surprises. Just frantic.

at the very worst it's an older guy who went from almost dying, to dedicating two years to saving his league, to playing in his creation.

but again he did what he came here to do.

The problem is that drastically overpaying your own players means that you have no money left over to improve a team that went 2-14. Do you honestly think anyone came close to $43 million on DeAngelo? And Charles Johnson said himself that no other team even came close to the Panthers' offer for him. You don't have to be such a homer, magnus, you can actually admit that Hurney fucked this up yet again.

I think it's a lot of money, but I also knew coming in they were going to be "aggressive" and wanted to keep their own people. So, I don't go around pretending to be shocked they did what they said they wanted to do.
