I guess the Rams Club types have some financial skin in the Butch Davis saga hence their support?

    Well said.

BigVito, I sort of figured all of the construction efforts in place for UNC-CH football was a big driving force to keep Butch around as he has helped money to flow in to fund that and I would guess especially from the Rams Club types. But, do you think they are reaching a point of being sick of this.? It changes when people start questioning academics in the local & national media (Sports Illustrated recently mocked the whole McAdoo situation pretty good in an article).

Been a Heels fan for 40+ years and all this shit is just down right embarrassing. yeah, I'd like to have a winning football team but not at the expense of the school's reputation. Nothing is worth the BS going on atm. The NCAA should kick their ass good and hard for letting this stuff go on. The next item on the agenda should be telling Baddour and Davis their services are no longer needed. You can do things right and win football games.

Completely agree! If it was NCSU and TOB in this situation, I would want TOB gone. Even if I was naive enough as vp to believe he knew NOTHING, I would still want him gone for not being able to run a program correctly and not putting the right controls in place. It's embarrassing to reach every part of the program from players, coaches, agents, tutors, etc.

The NCAA is going to determine exactly how big a deal this is. If the NCAA severely punishes the University, I wouldn't be so sure that any of Thorp, Baddour or Davis is safe.

That has to be the most absurd thing I've read and we've had encyclopedias of the absurd written about this whole thing. Doesn't mean much in the grand scheme, but if they fire Thorp then the University as a whole will lose my support. Moot point as nobody is getting fired over this trivial ish. Reply | Quote

No problem with that, but sometimes one just has to call a spade a spade.
