I was responding to your second sentence but congrats on being the grammer police. Maybe you should become Butch's nanny and make sure McAdoo properly copies and paste so he doesn't get caught next time.

Huh? Drama much. I sort of figure there isn't much more he could say that would make this situation look worse for UNC-CH than it already is. I guess he could say that you recruit statutory rapists or something but um, Butch has already had that one covered.

Careful when the N&O turns on you. They can take down a program. Reference NCSU Basketball 1989. Two editorials today on the Academic stuff. Who is going to take responsibility for this? Apparently, multi-million man Butch won't and Baddour/Thorpe aren't going to hold him accountable.

I'm glad a UNC alumnus gets the big picture. To be honest, I have seen a difference in opinion amongst actual Chapel Hill Alumni versus bandwagoners with the alumni wanting Butch gone and the bandwagoners just wanting a good thing to continue so they can pull for a winner. Chapel Hill had a good thing going before, especially with Brown, so it's been done before. No need to resort to cheating.

Who was it who said, "When the local media turns against you, you're done."

There is a split in the alumni circles, too. The Rams Club types are mixed but generally are much more supportive of Butch/Baddour than the general alumni folks. As a reminder, there wasn't much love for Brown in the academic circles of the University.

Most of the Carolina folks that I maintain relationships with are far more concerned about moving ahead of UVa in the Public University rankings than they are about football rankings. (Basketball is a tough call, though) While many of us love UNC athletics, we love the University and the ideals it should stand for, with a much deeper passion.
