McAdoo never wrote a paper. He copied and pasted paragraphs from other websites. He could be one of the dumbest people to ever step foot on UNC.

    http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/unc-ad-defends-players-stolen-work-to-ncaa-29775

“Uh, well, like I say, I’d, , uh, I guess we’re referring to the Swahili 402 paper and my, so I’m just gonna start by saying, I wasn’t assigned to that tutor at first. I had another tutor so i mean I worked on the paper but when, um when it got toward the end I sent her the paper or whatever and she reached out and I mean, just help like that.
“I just wanted her to look over my work. Check it for grammar, make sure my ideas made sense and check my citations so I would not be plagiarizing.”

Is it worth going through what Chapel Hill is going through just to "be good" at anything?

If it means long term success... then yes. The funding college football provides is HUGE, and if you can become an upper tier team you get more of that funding.

Now at the same time if this mess damages the program long term and prevents ascention to that upper tier your worse off. So its a huge gamble.

Sorry, I don't see how cheating is acceptable if it gets a program "to the big time" and even does only temporary harm.

what's funny about that? That's an ignorant response. But then again you don't know what a bibliography is and can't correctly spell tutor when its referenced,

No, I made it obvious to you he never wrote anything. He copied and pasted and expected the tutor to do the rest.

What's funny is that you find it acceptable to cheat as long as you have long term success.

That's like a store clerk saying "I'm going to scan all the lottery tickets and see which one are winners and losers and buy the winning tickets."

It may benefit them and they may win a lot of money, but going to prison, losing the right to sell lottery tickets, losing your job and paying fines was well worth it. UNC nor does anyone associated with UNC gain anything from cheating. You can't gain anything in life by cheating, you will eventually get caught and have to pay the price. Ask Tiger Woods, Bernie Madolff, USC football with the Reggie Bush situation, there is NOTHING to gain from it.

I never said it was alright to cheat. I said it was worth going through what UNC was to get better. Players cheating happens at every school and there is an honor court to deal with that. But the rest of the NCAA scandal isn't "cheating" its dealing with high profile kids and figuring out how to prevent them from breaking NCAA rules.
