    As a reminder of a previous post by vp:

    on 10/28/10, vp posted in the other Tarheels thread: "On another note, this "scandal" is rapidly becoming lots of sound and fury signifying nothing."

    9 Major allegations later, he is still trying to act like it's nothing. I'm guessing when you lose scholarships and get a bowl ban, it still won't be that big of a deal. It's not like you murdered anyone (at least, that we know of).

    To be fair, I think he's obviously not as stupid as Blake. He knew to do his dirty business on his own cellphone and not one provided by the school. And he apparently knew enough not to twitter when Wichard was paying his players.

    I totally stand by that. Almost all of the allegations stem from an assistant who lied to the University and NCAA and kids who took summer trips.

    How in the world can you hold a university responsible for that?

    Do you have some proof that contradicts this?

    Though, I still wonder where Butch Davis' tutor got the money to pay those parking tickets for those players as the NCAA said in an allegation but heck, what would they know?

    Who employed him and who has known him for decades? Oh yeah, Butch Davis. Who employs Butch Davis? Oh yeah, the University. Who pays Butch Davis MILLIONS to manage the football program and run a clean program? Oh yeah, the University. Who will be hit with any penalties from these allegations? Oh yeah, the University. Who continues to keep the moron coach in place though he is clearly incompetent? Oh yeah, the University. BTW, why do you keep asking for proof. NCAA allegations are proof enough unless UNC-CH can prove otherwise. And no, not almost all of the allegations. I believe 3 of the 9 stem from Butch's head assistant and lead recruiter. Another 3 I believe stem from Butch's personal tutor.

    These are very dark days for UNC fans. There are no explanations or excuses. Our reputation has been very seriously damaged - for years to come.

    I belong to a very special (though very common) group of Tar Heel fans. We share any and everything Carolina. But there's no conversation going on. There is nothing good to talk about relative to UNC football. There is no chance for a good result. Perhaps there are better UNC things to discuss. I think I'll try it for a while.
