We are coming off a 2-14 season with no chance for free agency to take place and a draft that hinges on a player most of us have a lot of doubt about and a lock out still in place with no end in sight. Is this the low point in Panther's history?

No it was still lower when Siefert was here. (life sucked out etc.) Im pretty sure the owners/players will figure out something in the next month. Owners need to budge a little and the players will cave.

The lockout is universal, but it's reasonable to expect teams with new systems and personnel may have a harder time adapting.

This doesn't feel like a low point. End of 2000, going into 2001, felt much more uneasy to me at the time.

Playing NE at home the last game of 1-15, ice, cold, more NE fans then Panther fans. You could sit anywhere you wanted and even the security/seating folks didn't care.

I didn't even bother to go into that game. Went over to jillian's South end and drowned my sorrows.

I was there for that game and watched the Pats fans cheer a division title at the end. I think I felt better about us then than now though. That team was competitive in almost every game. It just blew it at the end a lot. I was a lot more excited to see Seifert go and Fox come in than I am to see Fox leave and Rivera come in.

To me, the low point is this :

Despite the fact that we've been to 3 NFCG's, 1 Superbowl (in only 15 or so years of existance), we have 1 damn shitty year, and every national media outlet, reporter, and fan in the world seems to think we're a horrendous loser franchise like Detroit that's always been horrible and needs to move to another market. It's infuriating.

It is a little more than one bad season. They handled Fox leaving poorly, they let Peppers walk with nothing in return for him, the owners sticks his foot in his mouth each time he speaks, he fired his sons leaving succession in doubt with an owner who is old and has had a heart transplant, the biggest stars we have seem to want to leave town as soon as they can, we play in a division with three strong teams who do not look to fall apart anytime soon. On top of that we used the number one pick on a QB from a spread offense who runs as much as the throws. Unless Rivera is the next Belicheck our future does not look that rosey.
