Hummus

    Anyone have any recipes for it other than roasted garlic and sun dried tomato?

    Love it with pita chips or triscuits

    1 can drained chick peas (reserve liquid for later)
    1/4 c tahini (add more to taste)
    1T lemon juice (add more to taste)
    1t Salt
    1/2t Pepper
    1t garlic powder (fresh garlic too strong)
    1t paprika or nutmeg or ground sumac (add more to taste) (i like sumac then nutmeg)
    1/4c EV olive oil

    put all this in food processor and blitz, pour in 1/2 of reserve liquid

    add more olive oil until desired consistency

    add more lemon juice and other spices to suit your taste.

    Try adding cumin (maybe 1 Tsp) Nice kick

    cumin is not really a mid east spice, but i could see it working.

    I usually throw in three or four good sized buds of sticky green

    Add a couple slices of roasted red pepper (the kind in a jar) to Williams recipie for rrp hummus. I like this one.:waving:
