Hey Charlotte, I just thought I'd let you all know you are in for a treat with your new friend Marc James. First his real name is Marc Benarzyk. Second, he's changed his name to James because he burned so many bridges in Miami and Tampa he didn't want it to find him in his new gig. Let me just prepare you for what you're in for Charlotte.

In Tampa I witnessed Marc constantly throw his co-host under the bus for his "lack of knowledge" until his co-host was let go.

Marc also emailed every other radio station in town to let them know how great he was under the alias Jim Florio (Jim is his dad's name, and Marc is a mark for Mike Florio). The best part is he wasn't even smart enough to write the emails in a way that didn't make it obvious it was him.

Marc also used to prank call other sports talk stations under the alias Ozzy (amazingly and stupidly just after having Ozzy Guillen as a guest, which he must have obviously been excited about) and when he was put on air on 1010 CBS sports he blurted out something about penis enlargement.

Marc also used to call one of the TV stations down in Tampa and beg to get on the air during a round table segment they had. After being rejected numerous times he somehow got the number of one of their main sports anchors and began badgering him to get him on the show

Marc used to go on and on about how he was the greatest sports talk show host in the history of Tampa and how he was way too good to ever be a co-host. This was pretty ridiculour considering the man who most consider to be the greatest Chris Thomas has passed and for Marc to say that just shows how unaware the guy was. Now it's funny because he's come to Charlotte to be a co-host.

I don't know this Zarzur guy he's on with, but I hope he has thick skin and watches his back because Benarzyk will I'm sorry James, will have a knife in it before he can blink.

If you work at WFNZ I have to give you this advice. Do not give that man your phone number. He will call you 100 times a day because he literally has no friends because he's stabbed everyone he's known in the back. Don't think h'e misundertood either. I've never met another person who everyone that comes in contact with can't stand. Hes all about Marc and he'll do whatever he has to do succeed. Unfortunately he's too stupid to realize he'd succeed a lot faster and wouldn't have to leave every city he works in after one gig if he didn't alianate so many people by conducting himself as a world class tool.

Not that I was planning on it but that's all I need to hear to not worry about going back to FNZ.

Sorry Zarzour, I like you man. Hopefully they find a place for you on Fox Sports 730 if this douche is able to pull the wool over 'management's' eyes (lol.)

 

Marc "James" is horrible. He really brings that show down. Taylor Zarzour could do a great job without a co-host.

 

With the exception of Moose, EVERYBODY on 610 is a talentless oaf.
Mac in the morning is the most horrific of the bunch. HOW does that station stay on the air ?
Hopefully Moose will contact Rosinski and get to 730.

 

Zarzour could have a good show without Benarzyk. They announced yesterday that the ratings for the 3-7 slot are the highest they've been in a year. That tells you how much it has sucked in the past.

So if the numbers are really good it's because of Taylor? Please, spare me. Taylor was hired mainly because he had been on the station and deserved to be elevated the most. If you can't tell that Marc James is the star then you don't have a very good ear for radio. Ask yourself this question in all honesty? If just one of them was doing the show which one would people be listening too much more? There's your answer. It's evident Taylor is there just to set up Marc. They make a nice combo but Taylor is Ed McMahon and Marc is Johnny Carson.


Somebody outed "bandorama" as Marc Benarzyk himself. lol He has several posts on that board defending that clown. It 'sounds' just like him.

 

I actually like Zarzour - I think he brings a nice professionalism to the show. James is a complete buffoon. But then again, there is precedent for buffoons to have staying power on the radio. I know very little of James other than hearing him these past few months, but nothing I read from the original post surprises me. I've heard some instances where Zarzour appeared to get pretty irritated with him. He's either had to hold it back, or play it off as good radio, but it does come through the Zarzour is legitmately irked by some of James' me-first attitude.

Surprising to hear about FNZ's high ratings, but not sure if that's more of an indication of how Packman's show was running on fumes. Plus, I think having the 1st pick of the draft draws more listeners to sports radio.

 

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I guess Marc James Internet postings didn't get vetted during the hiring process by CBS Radio, eh ? ? ? ?

I have noticed that he always raves how Charlotte is the best place he's ever been . . . . I would love to hear some archival tape of him glowing about how his previous stops were the best place he's ever lived

Well, I guess barring Marc doing totally something stupid on/off the air to get him canned, he'll be here for awhile (until he gets canned O-R he moves to another market) . . . I say he'll stick around for a couple of years . ..

 

I don't care how/why he leaves, just go........
