    Sure looked that way to me too. Maybe SS will have a change of heart after meeting Newton. Cam does seems to have an assload of charisma. Did notice when he and Clausen were sitting together there weren't any smiles in that photo.

    Smitty has never had an elite QB he has never really had a really good QB. Even at his best Jake was never top ten. Who knows who he would get traded to and whether that team will have a franchise QB. If Smitty believes Cam is a franchise QB then he might want to stay and play with him. Smitty certainly is young enough to have a good run with Cam if Cam pans out. Cam has some selling to do though.

    If I thought they had a good draft, I would have posted that. I think they made a mistake with Newton. Not really going out on a limb there, they simply didn't take the best available player.

    Oh, I think he'll be good in a couple years...he's just useless to any team right now. I like his attitude and his athletic ability. However, he's coming from a one read system and if you've seen all these highlights of Newton, you'll notice there are sometimes 2-3 WR's within close proximity to the football...in the NFL, those are called interceptions.
