You need to be nicer to millionaire players, billionaire owners, well-paid GM's, and--most importantly--faceless message board pals.

Cam Newton and Vernon Gholston. About to make a comeback.

You can bank it. With bankers.

With drafting players being as inexact a science as there is I don't see how anyone can make blanket statements about this guy being a bust or this guy being a star.

If the guy you get in the draft turns into a star it makes no difference if you draft him in the 1st round or the 6th round. If a pick as late as Tom Brady can turn into one of the best players in the league I don't see why a guy drafted 1st can't.

That's why I love the draft so much. Before they get on an NFL field I can be just as smart as Collin or Mel Kiper, Jr.

Biggest difference for a 1st is teams need immediate help when they're drafting first, they're paying a ton of money to the guy, rush him on the field. 5th rounder has time to learn without that pressure.

Yes. Plus you need to hit on a high percentage of your first round picks, especially if they're high first rounders and therefore eating up a big percentage of your cap space. 2nd through 7th you're just hoping to get one or two additional starters and two or three additional contributors.

Can we just shut down the Carolina Panthers forum for 3-5 years while the team plays like pure shit?
