Clearly, you didn't get the memo that we just drafted Akili Couch JaMarcus McNown.

Despite the fact that he may not be your elite QB, can we win and have success with him as our QB?

there isnt a qb in the nfl with his physical potential. if he puts it all together or not is a different story.

Probably not, because Hurney already fucked up the roster and we don't have the ability to bring in much talent through the draft or free agency to shore up our other needs. I don't want to make it seem like I'm calling Newton the worst QB to ever lace them up. He's not. He could be ok in the NFL, but you don't take ok at #1. Committing to an inaccurate athlete at quarterback is a major risk that fundamentally limits your offense for as long as he's the starter.

Jesus Christ, please just shut up. Jake Locker is as physically gifted as Newton. Blaine Gabbert was barely slower in the 40. Kaepernick was fastest. Vick blows them all out of the fucking water. Newton isn't the fastest QB, nor does he have the strongest arm. Meanwhile you're completely missing the point about there being more to physical talent than speed & strength. Newton's mechanical throwing motion and release fundamentally limits him as a passer, so he will never ever have the accuracy or touch that elite quarterbacks do because of his physical limitations.

Um, heads up: trying to change Collin's mind about something is like milking a fucking bull. Just stop arguing the point, and let the professional athletes play it out in the Fall. Then, we can take a more reasonable sample of the total body of work, and--well--argue some more. Fucking futile.
