So if they take him the question is, do they give him #2 or does he jack slap Clausen and take it?

Jersey number? I would suspect Cam would buy it, if he wanted it. Then again, the value of that number, between Craig & Clausen, over the past decade, has depreciated considerably.

This is the type of stuff Jackie Miles gets off on, but I don't care. He'll probably buy #7 from Baker just to piss off the Beuerlein fans.

If we take him @ #1, he ought to take jersey #1. Him #1, Clausen #2 would be kind of funny.

Yea. I really think Urban just wants to keep his heart healthy and not get in the middle of the drama. The laptop thing was ridiculous, and idiotic. So is cheating on tests, multiple times. And working with his diddy to get paid in college (oh...wait....Cam didn't know, right?)

Here's something positive: Cam's drug-free, or at least, nobody has ever arrested him on drug charges, or posted a hack article accusing him of drug use. Saw Person's feature on their site, and an old coach said he's pretty much milk, water, Gatorade.

Dude's made some shitty choices in a very truncated period of time. And Michael Vick killed a bunch of dogs.

Vick, by the way, is now the Madden "cover boy", just 4 years removed from "dog-gate".

So long as we're on the morality train, it's probably time to cut Smith, right?

Jackie Miles sits on some numbers like they're fucking gold:

    1
    6
    13
    17
    51 (clearly)

Didn't JR say something about no body ever having #1? The 51 I understand of course but the others esp the 6 and 13?

I'll begrudgingly give a pass on the being paid in college, there are lots and lots of guys getting paid and it's been going on a long time.

And while I've been pretty negative about him, I will say that his composure and performance during that period speaks to him being able to handle the pressure of a huge spotlight.

I'll be honest, I don't give a shit about the laptop thing, just a mistake oif youth. I don't really care about diddygate either for that matter.
I just care about if he can be an elite NFL QB.

I think it's important to be mindful of mistakes, since we all make them. It's equally significant as to how a person responds to his mistakes. In that department, Newton grades out pretty damn high for me.

Again: as long as we're worried about morality, cut Smith.
