McNabb had a lot more experience, but they were both strong armed passers with questionable accuracy.

I don't think that's fair. His leadership on the field was never questioned, at least that I've seen. Clausen's was.

Uh ... yes, it has been. Did you forget that Newton decided to try and sneak the ball into the endzone at the end of the national championship game against his coaches' orders? Newton is a bad apple, end of story.

Eh, I disagree. I see both as strong, charismatic leaders, who both struggle with accuracy, and who both have strong arms. Newton had the laptop thing and the deal with his dad, neither have much affect on professional prospects, IMO.

McNabb had a very good (not great) pro career. Worth a #1 in my opinion. If anyone thinks Cam will kill it his rookie year is dillusional. At the same time, I can't imagine that he will be a total bust.

Newton vs Dareus? I'm happy as a fan either way. Also glad it's not my job on the line regarding which one to select.

McNabb owes a lot to Reid. The Eagles did a good job of managing him early on.

How does that matter? Tim tebow should be better than manning, favre and elway then.
