I know how much a team needs a franchise QB but really is there one in this draft? Is there that much of a drop off between Newton, Gabbert, Locker down to Nevada's QB or beyond? Can anyone give me as big of a question mark towards Marcell Dareus that a similar if not bigger than any of the top 2 or 3 QBs in this draft?

Dareus is a legitimate beast, and would be a top DT although still a level below someone like Suh. He's clearly the best choice at #1, but the Panthers will fuck this up because that's what the Panthers do.

As much as I hate to agree with Collin. Marcell should be our pick. But they will fuck it slap up.

I thought that Dareus would be the best fit for our team since we have discussed draft picks. Although, I have to admit that I have been tempted by Cam Newton because of the importance of QB play in the current NFL, but I think that has been more of hoping Newton will be great than actual reality.

Of the QBs on the board I'd say it's more likely to get a Akili Smith or Alex Smith verses a safer pick in a equally need position. If Cam comes out and falls on his face then we have wasted a #1 pick ala Bengals, Raider... Dareus is a beast at a huge need

Dareus should be the pick. There may be only a short camp then play.

With a DT just tell him to find the ball, kill the guy with it . Not a lot of teaching needed to put him in.

yeah. You can find veteran Coryell QBs. You can't find rookies who play in the spread who know Coryell.

Casserly took so much shit for not taking Bush. I know not a QB but a majority 1st choice.

In my gut, I don't think Hurney will take the QB. But I am seriously scared as hell that I'm wrong.

If Hurney is allowed to take Newton I will be convinced JR has gone 'round the bend.

If they draft Newton I am going to support the Cowboys! A guy at work was saying there's a chart that shows how quick the defense was able to pressure the opposing QB. The Panthers were worst in the league at .8 second before there was pressure. No wonder Jimmy sucked so badly.
