Quit being a retard, DT has a draft bust history it can be proud of. What makes 2003 the magical year? How many DT's have gone in the top 10 since that shitty year scared every GM of drafting DT in the top 10 for 2 years straight.

Suh and McCoy have been in the league one year.

Dorsey and Okoye are still in the league but neither are worth their draft positions.

Who does that leave you with? Raji and Ellis?

    2003 - Robertson 4, Sullivan 6 and Kennedy 12 all busts
    2002 - Ryan Sims at 6 bust
    2001 - Gerrard Warren at 3 bust
2000 - Corey Simon at 6 had one or 2 years then ballooned and busted.
1999 - Bugger McFarland was the first to go at 15, busted.
    1997 - Russell at 2 bust

You have a few positives in Ngata, Seymore and Henderson, not much else.

Nick Saban at Alabama's Pro Day in March, when he said nice things about Cam Newton to John Elway. (The Birmingham News/Mark Almond)
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - When Nick Saban talks, NFL people listen.
That's why the NFL Network will have the Alabama coach at New York's Radio City Music Hall next weekend as a guest analyst at the NFL draft. Few football people at work today have his first-hand insight into the college and pro games.
One example: In a Wednesday phone interview with the NFL Network, Saban shredded the analysts that think Mark Ingram "isn't spectacular enough" to get drafted early in the first round.
"I think Mark is spectacular," Saban said. "I think people are wrong. I think there were probably people who said Emmitt Smith isn't that spectacular, either. That's who Mark reminds me of as a player."
One of the NFL people who picked Saban's brain last month at Alabama's Pro Day was John Elway, the new executive vice president of football operations for the Denver Broncos. According to Elway, after discussing players Saban coached, they talked about a player Saban opposed - Cam Newton.
Elway described the conversation with Saban during a Wednesday press conference about the draft: "We asked him about Cam, and he said that team would not have won four games if it wasn't for Cam Newton. That tells you how much of a special player he is."
Elway should've chosen his words more carefully. It could be interpreted that Saban was saying Auburn would've been 3-9 or worse without Newton last season, perhaps exaggerating to Elway to make a point about just how valuable Newton was.
But it's not like Saban to criticize opponents, before or after the fact. On the contrary, he usually goes out of his way to be complimentary of other teams and their players and coaches.
Saban himself tried to clear up any confusion before Thursday night's Crimson Caravan stop in Montgomery. He said he'd told Elway that Newton was responsible for four "more" victories for the Tigers last season.
"What I said was it was a compliment to Cam Newton, certainly not a disrespect to Auburn and their team and what they accomplished because they had an outstanding team, they're national champs, they did a great job," Saban said.
    That sounds more like it.
With essentially the same team in 2009, minus Newton, Auburn went 8-5. Add Newton, who put together the single greatest individual season in college football history, and Auburn added six victories and subtracted five defeats to finish 14-0.
Break it down. Without Newton's 217 rushing yards, does Auburn beat LSU? Without his four touchdowns, does Auburn come back from 24-0 to beat Alabama 28-27?
I could go on, but you get the point. It's the same point Saban said he'd made that Elway could've articulated better, if he was going to go public with what Saban no doubt intended as private comments in the first place.
Newton wasn't a one-man team by any means, but he did take Auburn from good to great. No one knows that better than Saban. He watched the 2009 Auburn team, without Newton, force his Alabama national championship team to come from behind to win in Jordan-Hare Stadium. A year later, he watched Auburn's 2010 national championship team, with Newton, come from behind to win in Bryant-Denny.
It's always fascinating to hear Saban break down players, but it's always better to hear him do it himself and not through an interpreter like Elway.
Witness the coach's unique take on Julio Jones during that phone interview with the NFL Network. Saban said Jones "probably has a different disposition than a lot of receivers. He plays with a lot of toughness and a spirit that is not normal or natural at that position."
In short, for all his talent, Jones is a worker, not a diva.
There's a reason ESPN asked Saban to be an analyst at the BCS Championship Game and the NFL Network wants him in New York for the draft, along with Notre Dame's Brian Kelly, Wisconsin's Bret Bielema and North Carolina's Butch Davis.
Just don't call Saban a talking head.
"I don't really want to be classified as a talking head because I'm gonna be analyzing some of these things, but some of these guys that make these statements (about players) that seem to stick?" he said. "I'm not sure they know what they're talking about or they're qualified or they've done enough study to be able to make those kinds of statements."
You can agree or disagree with Saban's take, but no one can accuse him of not doing his football homework.

Good grief. Let's be clear here. You said: "Bar QB, DT has seen quite a few draft busts that were selected highly also." Since then you haven't been able to come up with one highly selected DT who has been a bust since 2003. Repeat that again for effect. None since 2003. I agree that some don't end up being impact players, but none have been outright busts since 2003.

Look, everyone including yourself knows that I am infinitely more intelligent than you are, and also that I have vastly more football knowledge than you do. There will still be times when I say something dumb or you say something bright, but for the most part it is an incredibly bad idea for someone like you to argue with someone like me. I didn't immediately trash your stupidity when I first corrected you, but belligerently continuing with that ignorance is wasting everyone's time. Think whatever you want inside your own head, but what you posted was proven wrong, and you need to shut up about it.
