Correct. And Eli, while not a favorite of many, is pretty solid. I just don't see Clausen possessing the physical or mental tools needed to be the guy. If he had all that, he would have been picked prior to Carolina's 2nd round slot.

Anyone wonder how Cam and Steve would mesh? Two big personalities...

That's really a big part of the question. How good can Clausen really end up being? Not very big. Not very strong. Not much of an arm. Not much of an athlete. Gets a lot of passes deflected. Wasn't really even accurate given time, his supposed strength. Even if the game slows down for him, how good can he be with his skill set?

If I had confidence that he could get better, then I'd agree this is likely a smokescreen. It can't be giving him confidence to hear Hurney say we need to solidify the QB position on national radio.

JC's got enough arm. I don't care that he's "only" 6'2. Accuracy is a concern, and that should've been good. Again I don't think people expected him to be this un-ready.

So, we've got a QB who could be very good but sucks because of poor mechanics, and poor accuracy as a result. So why not another? At this point I don't care if Clausen can be it, but it's amazing how people are condemning him to jump right back into the same situation with a different guy.

Speaking of which no one mentions that Sanchez is the same height.

Breezus is shorter. So is Pat White. I don't know that it really fucking matters if you can get in a lane and get the ball out.

Dude Clausen was a terminal loser all through college, and was as scared as a twelve year old girl in a whorehouse.

    NOT the same situation.

Newton's a gangster. Will be ball deep in some shit before the end of the first season. His dad will also stir up all kinds of shit. Draft defense and see how things shake out. If we suck again next draft we'll get Luck and all of our problems will be solved.

oh, absolutely not. Clausen didn't play for three schools and didn't cheat or steal. Both seem to be assholes, Clausen's just had his ego dropped by Smith. I guess one being taller makes a difference.

But, again, I'm sure the guy loves people defending whether or not he's a pain in the ass. Keeps people from talking about whether or not he's accurate. Again, we're going to start an inaccurate, unready rookie next year. Fucking shit I can't wait to go through that again.
