    Gregory is a very good coach. His teams always played hard for him, and despite the slim pickings he had to recruit from, he had a lot of success. The reason he fell out of favor with some of the fans is the same reason a lot of coaches wear out their welcome, delusional fans who think their program should stand out like the big boys. In this case Xavier, Cincinatti, OSU, etc.

    Hope VCU keeps him. VCU has become a freaking coaching mecca with Capel, Grant, and now Smart. Maybe they can take some of the Final Four money and keep Smart. Wish Charlotte had VCU's athletic director.

    BTW, Richmond's Coach Mooney just signed a 10 year extension.

    So, who is out there that a school Dayton's size etc. could actually try and get that is good?

    And it seemed like there was something going on behind the scenes at Dayton all year. The players just didn't look to be a "team" like they were last year and as soon as they are done this year 2 players announce they are transferring. It was almost like you could feel something wasn't right just watching them on TV.

    His teams always look good on paper but suck during season/playoff time, compared with expectations. Didn't he have a couple of quality players decided to leave like a week or two ago? He's like Greenburg, he sucked at USF and got the VaTech job. He still sucks but looks better since he can get ACC recruits. Same will probably happen to Gregory. However, was Hewitt's $7 million payout worth Gregory? How do Ga Tech fans feel about the hire?

    Tech has slipped badly in the last few years. Attendance was less than 6,000per game this year and the team will be homeless next season as they build a new arena. Georgia is now one of the better recruiting areas so it's alarming to see both Georgia and Georgia Tech struggling.
