    Sidney is 'family'. The powers that be wanted the whole thing to come to an end with as much dignity as possible. Plus, it kept him eligible for a nice parting gift.

    Lots of rumors that he was involved with a woman who works closely with the athletic department. I do know he was spending lots of time with said woman, but I do not know the nature of their involvement.
