Now that you brough this up, lets take a look at it.

Remember, Kraft is the one who risked giving up a first round pick to bring in Belichick in 2001 who was, at the time, an unproven head coach.

Kraft had control of the team long before Belichick came on board. Kraft took over in 1994 and they went from the worst team in the league (1990-93) to a superbowl team in 96. He brought in Parcells and Pete Carroll.

Kraft also turned down a $75 million payout and instead paid $175 million to buyout the Patriots and keep them from moving to St. Louis. Seems like a no-brainer now but at the time they were the worst franchise in the league with all their home games blacked out. They have sold out every home game since he bought the team.

On top of that, instead of ripping off his fans with PSL's like Your boy JR, Kraft paid almost $400 million to build a new stadium with his own money.

He may not be the greatest owner ever but he's pretty freakin close. One thing is for sure, Jerry Richardson will never be mistaken for that award winner.

No they are a laughing stock now and have been a constant source of embarrassment for the league with their on and off-field incidents that cover everything from steroids to racism to multiple homicides. Give me a break with the "well respected" routine.

Of course, Bellichick's cheating scandal didn't reflect badly on the Patriots at all, did it. Also of course, with Goodell hastily levying a big (and largely symbolic) fine and then sweeping the evidence of a far larger cheating problem under the rug to preserve the league's revenue stream from a then-popular team, the laughing stock and embarassment factor never caught on as much as it should have.

Sorry, but no team in this league has avoided its laughing stock and embarassment moments, and every NFL team lives in a glass house from which stone-throwing is a danger.

Yea, I mean, it's not murder, but the Patriots' coach blatantly violated league policy, to the point where they lost a 1st round pick. So, let's try hard to not deliver any sermons around here.

Here's what you should be looking for mags - a denial that JR said those things.

Tell me about all those folks denying his comments. Both of us are rolling on hearsay - but again Brees didn't say "Jerry didn't say what has been reported". I haven't found any denials though.

You see, if he said those things he's as assshole. Period.

It's disrespectful, unnecessary and not a good thing simply because it was said to Peyton Manning.
