Absolutely on Manning. That "idiot kicker"had a point too.Guy is not infalliable. And as a guy who isn't a player rep, he's thete because he's super, super special. How nice.

Can't wait for this guy to be forced down our throats the rest of his life.

Not that I'm saying it definitely would be successful, but if there's no NFL in '11 and it looks like the '12 season could be in trouble, I could see another league pop up and make it.

I can't figure JR. Starting to remind me of another JR, and he got shot.

Is Richardson deliberately trying to pick a fight?

Is Richardson just a bitter old man who can't stand the fact that he voted for the last CBA?

Is Richardson's lack of a censure on his mouth and liberal use of vulgar language all an act? Or is it that he has enough money to say whatever he damn well pleases and there's few in his circle to call him on it?

Is Richardson a pride monger? Or is he just misunderstood?

Personally, I blame Julius Peppers for all this. I mean, one minute JR tries to adopt Peppers and the next, after Julius decides to go live with someone else, Richardson starts firing sons and cussing out clean-cut cultural icons. We all know love is complicated, but geez...

no it's really about union busting, if they bust this union, then corporate America will know they can break up any union. (seriously, if you say union worker now a days, how do folks react?) I am wondering what made up marketing we will hear soon regarding the NFLPA.

The owners ought to just put a proposal on the table that outlines what they will be willing to do. The players then take it or leave it. If they leave it then the owners should bring in replacement players. If the owners are not willing to do it then they must value the current players more than they let on. It is a simple business decision for the owners. There is a tipping point where you pay the players so much that it would make for a greater profit to use replacement players. Figure out where that point is and then make your offer a little below it.

A greater profit using replacement players? Read my post above and you'll see that teams in the league are struggling to sell out these stadiums with the current players. Put replacement players on the field and they won't be able to sell out freaking Memorial Stadium, much less BofA.

Look, this is a negotiation. I know that the players want to be included and involved, but the fact of the matter is that they are probably more in the way now by being there. Negotiations are rarely easy. And if the players are going to get their feelings hurt every time the owners snap at them, they had better freaking stay home. This is going to get ugly before it gets pretty, that is for sure.

Part of the issue here is the free flowing information age we live in. Jay Feeley's comments go viral in a matter of minutes, and the guy wasn't even in the room. The players side has gone on a PR mission to tilt the fans towards their side. But at the end of the day, I don't care. I want football. So get your asses in there and figure out how to split up this money.

I agree that revenues will be much larger using the best players. If the cost of said players is high enough though profit will be greater with replacement players. Profit and Revenue are not the same thing. Do I need to explain it to you son (just kidding).
