Have you read Brian Ruckley's stuff? It was suggested on here and I love them.

I've been reading J.L. Bourne's Day by Day series. Awesome Zombie Apocolypse books.

That zombie series is great. When I bought the first one I thought this is going to suck but I couldn't find anything else new i wanted at the time so I bought it. Kept me glued to the last page.

I have read the Alex Benedict series which are about four or five books or so and one of his stand alone novels. He has another series and stand alone books that I plan on reading. I really like his books. The books that I have read are "grounded" science fiction. They are set 9-10,000 years in the future and that future is the backdrop to the mystery/adventure that drives each book. As far as a comparison to other authors think more Asimov than the ones you mentioned. The books I have read have been a lot of fun and well written, good stuff.

Just finished up "The Girl Who..." trilogy. Sad the author died so young and we'll never see Lisabeth Salander again.

Just starting George R.R. Martin's A Feast For Crows. The first three books were like crack...I saw where this book is the weakest. Guess I'll soon find out.

STRANGER IN PARADISE - Robert B. Parker

Just finished James Lee Burke's SWAN PEAK, possibly the finest novel I've ever read.
