Being a pro, being a grown man, not letting your players down, taking criticism is part of your job, and when the game is on the line don't call five one yard routes on 4th and 3.

you think there's no chance he's changed in the last 10 years?

Changed or not, he quit on the team. That's burning a bridge. To me? He's done here. I'll never respect that man again. And to this day, he's only been QB Coach, if Im correct. Maybe he doesn't want anything else.

Who knows, but Richardson isn't going to inject energy into a crippled franchise by bringing a quitter back from the Seifert era.

Kerry Collins did the same thing, and ya know what I would've rather had him over Chris Weinke, Jeff Fasani, Rodney Peete, and whoever else was at QB the years he was playing for the Giants.

I liked him here. He was a good coach.Made Beuerlein, brought Jeffers. But he wasn't the OC that he was as our QBs cpach, even though he game planned both 99 & 00 teams. He didn't call a better short game as OC, and didn't run the long game (he worked with George in 99 on the long game, which was obviously the best part). He wasn't ready for the job and was the champion for Jeff Lewis.
Anyway, he quit, which is tough when hiring for the same job. Did time mature him? Maybe, but hard to say. He hasn't had play calling since. We remember him which may be part of the appeal since that's Mularkey's O.

May be a lot easier to say ATL wouldn't let us have him though

I quit on a job once and was hired back about 4 years later for the same position... and when I say quit, I mean without a word, picked up my time card, punched it, dropped it on the desk and walked out.

But yeah the guy walked out... I think Fox also walked on Al Davis once.

Anyway... what's the story on our OC? We waiting for Pittsburgh to lose or Atlanta to lose or what?

    Chud still the favorite?

This seems like a better option for him. HC isn't an o guy, and wasn't almost fired.

True, and I hope it goes our way. But the Dolphins can offer one important thing the Panthers can't - a quarterback.
