You planning on representing the NFC in Superbowl XLVI? If not, we have time.

funky low release. but much quicker than Jimmy... actually really quick. doesn't have to wind up. has a rocket for an arm and can throw it a mile. big guy who can take the hits but not much of a runner. has some decent feet. i guess i depends on if he has "it" but he's got the physical tools to do well. watching highlights hard to tell anything about his accuracy other than he was accurate on those throws.

16 TD's, 9 int's last year. Lots of other QB's with better stats than that. He sounds like he'd be another Clausen to me. :beatdeadhorse5:

That was highlights? Overthrows a wide open receiver, underthrows a receiver, fumbles, looks uncomfortable in the pocket. What else can he do?

just on physical skills, I'd take Newton in a heartbeat. don't know about his character issues, but at best case you get the baggage of his dad. i don't think you touch with a 10 foot pole. just asking for problems.

I like Gabbert. One thing I did, and recommend others do, is watch his interviews. The long and short ones. He comes off confident, as a a leader with a short fuse for bullshit. He is an analyzer, and speaks of his fellow players like a coach does. He's complimentary and forward. I like him.

He's got a good release. Looks clunky running, but clearly he isn't afraid to. One thing that worries me, is he's hitting wide open guys a lot. I want to see what he does in traffic.

We need one of those dungeons and dragon 16 sided die to help with the selection.

    I've only got 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 20 sided.

I know, I was a geek. Sadly, not much has changed.

yep. hard to get excited watching that clip. can't see him being worthy of the top pick in the draft even if he is accurate, which i doubt.

just based on what little video highlights i could find, mallet would be the one QB that i'd be interested in with that 1st pick. my only hesitation would be that i don't think the clip showed a single throw going to the left ... i'd like to see more, but i really like what little i saw. amazing arm strength, nice release, can see the field with ease, moves well from what i saw (though scouting reports disagree). scouting reports are very positive on his smarts & leadership but they say he has issues with accruacy and footwork. from what i see, he's the one guy that i think can be a franchise QB (well, newton might be but his character issues are going to be an issue).

we need a QB. i think this is the guy.
