I can see only two reasons we would trade for Ming. First is in hopes of clearing cap space to sign a big free agent this summer. The other is just to create more room under the cap to avoid the luxury tax, kinda like what we did with Chandler this past off season.

I am really hoping MJ Is not going to run this team on the cheap like that.

I think is a combo of both. They may not get Lebron type FA but if they have some money they can make a some moves. The Damp contract was good in that they got relief if they weren't able to make a trade(they couldn't even though they tried)

if the bcats are going to be spending dollar for dollar lux tax, they better be damn sight better than an 8th seed doormat. doesnt make sense to spend like orlando,la, boston when you are not in contention to win. being as far under the cap next year as possibe gives them more options, not makes them cheaper(unless it becomes a habit) It might take a sacrificed season, and player contract dumps to make it happen.

I saw another rumor where we would trade Jackson to the Bulls. I am not sure what we would have gotten for him but it is supposed to be a dead deal now. After seeing them respond so well to Silas I am not sure I would blow up the team.

Oh well the Silas effect seems to have been temporary.

It was bound to wear off some time, but I think injuries are starting to take their toll too.

They do need Jackson and Wallace both healthy to have a chance.

Yeah, especially against the Heat who have won 19 of 20.

Losing Diop and Muhammad at the same time is a tough blow for any team. Also consider Wallace's bone bruise on his ankle and Tyrus Thomas missing a couple of games, it's been a tough stretch.

Hopefully Nazr comes back soon, Wallace as well obviously.

Missing Jackson, Wallace, and Mohammad tonight. Thomas a game time decision. Could be a long night in Minnesota.

Won 6 out of 8 under Silas, currently in the 8 spot in the east. Not too bad...
