Yas just posted this on his blog. Quotes are probably taken straight off a recording.

    edit:

“more money and less work’’. was actually “more money, more benefits and less work’’ as I heard it.

Yeah, but that was then, this is now...when he interviewed Dungy, that was "back in the day" when he was allegedly more concerned with what the prospective coaches wanted than with what the Panthers organization wanted.

That does seem to mean that "star power" - at least in terms of a prospective coach expecting the team to give in to his demands - would be a negative this time around.

I remember the phrasing he used when asked if the Panthers would consider trading down in this draft having the number one pick.

JR said that "it would be highly unusual for us to do that with this pick."

Until this past year, when did JR ever have a problem paying players? Ask Jake, Julius, Steve, Gilbert, Chuck Smith, Moose, Minter, Rucker about the big fucking mansions his money built for them.

It seemed quite clear. Once the CBA is settle, he will have no problem opening the checkbook.

Ominous statement right there. The more meddling the owner does the worse off his team usually is.

No other owner in the NFL gutted their team like ours did. Why is it as a fan base we're expected to suffer? Why should I give them my money for that?

It means new coaches won't have as much power in player personell moves which means NO coaches will want to be here long.
