It'd take their #2 overall, their second round pick, Tebow or Orton and maybe another 3rd or 4th.

If I can get a competent QB -- and then 3 other high-impact players -- then I'd think hard before I turn down the deal ;)

you'd have to get their next year #1 pick at least in addition to the #2 this year and a second rounder this year

    Ditto.

MIght actually rather have Orton than Tebow. Otherwise, we're stuck with having no veteran QB. But either way, I would be open to the #2, #34, a qb that's better than JImmy, and no Luck.

I don't know, if Harbaugh goes to Denver we're holding some serious cards, we could and should plunder. Two firsts, a second, gets me to discussing which player. Only I don't believe they can trade a player with no CBA in place.

Directly after watching the best prospect at qb in a decade people are actively trying to trade him for Orton? I may have missed where we can afford to remain mediocre.

If I did that trade Orton or Tebow would be a minor piece of a bigger deal that got us multiple high draft picks. Luck is Peyton Manning with no Ryan Leaf in the mix.

Exactly. You people are insane. Luck would be our franchise QB ( you know, the most important position on the field), and the face of our franchise, for the next decade. There is NO trade option. NONE.

If he refuses to play here, trade is on the table.

Otherwise, no I don't want to do anything except take Luck with the pick.

edit: and JR just said it would be very unusual to trade the pick given the circumstances. Also not selling the team.

what if luck says he will not play here? I can really see that happening and the panther front office better be ready for this.

i'm just saying if you had to trade him. He still has leverage and could Elway himself to another franchise.
