They had 24 as a group. It was a community effort and that was with a turnover machine not even playing with a bum ankle.

Cut them some slack on the turnovers. They just radically changed the game plan so it is not surprising that they had a few turnovers. I expect it will get better as they acclimate. Going up tempo is going to result in more turnovers than the old slow ball style but 24 is too many.

Have you watch them play much this year?
The turnover issue has been here the whole year.

Actually no but either way it is not fair to be down on Silas for turnovers when it is the first game for him. I do know that 105 points in one game has not been happening this year.

    Trade Rumors

Read a rumor that we might trade for Yao Ming, he is out the rest of this year but he would clear out $17.7 million in cap space this summer. That might let us chase a prize free agent. I would hate to give up good players for him. If it let us drop Diop and maybe some other high salary low talent guys then it might make sense.

You do not trade for him because you want him to play here. You trade to free up cap space at the end of the season. He is in the last year of his deal and his cap number is $17.7 million. The only way it make sense is if you want to pursue an expensive free agent this summer. Well, it you are just really cheap it works too.

From what I've read, the Rockets want too much for Yao. They'd want players and multiple draft picks for him.

I did read that the Bobcats and Magic are talking Diaw for Jason Richardson. He makes $14 million a year, and is an expiring contract. That might not be a bad deal to make.

the bobcats aren't going to attract top free agents. sorry. won't happen. the bobcats need to be on the other side of the expiring contract situation. turn an expiring deal into some young talent and a bad longer term deal. then hope you can do that again a couple years down the line. of course, that's the expensive way to do things, but you gotta spend money to win in the nba.

also, players respond to different coaches and different systems. they got time before the deadline so i figure they'd like to see who responds to silas and his system before they start shuffling guys off.

So trade away a good player or two for a player you don't want to keep in hopes that you can get a good player or two later? This isn't NY, Miami or LA.
