    Yep, I agree, I never really followed Jeff Bridges one way or the other until I watched Crazy Heart with him in the lead. One of the best acting jobs I have ever seen, so I think he could actually pull this off.

    I'm 23 and i've never seen True Grit or even thought about it being a John Wayne original when i heard this new movie was coming out.

    I was born in 1971 and the original come out in 1969 but I was very aware of it by the time I was 23. Did you grow up without TBS?

    If I can sneak away from the kids long enough I may go watch this thing. When I first saw it I was disdainful but the more I see the commercials the more I want to see it.

    I saw it last night with my two teenage sons that enjoyed it. A pretty good movie though takes a little while to get going. Jeff Bridges does a good job as Rooster Cogburn, just wish I could've understood him a little better.
