yeah, height or weight I can't think of anyone else that was successful, and he had to play in 3 leagues before he became successful. He never had consistent success in the NFL.

He's 5'11 or 6 foot. Obviously he needs to get bigger, but I'm telling you, the kid is a player. There are several quarterbacks who played 1AA and have had good NFL careers. If nothing else, he will be a great wildcat quarterback and eventually, a good receiver. Keep in mind, Clausen and Armanti both played against that same weak Michigan defense. Compare the stats.

The Michigan matchups notwithstanding, Armanti will not be going up against Clausen for the starting spot next year, I hope. Kind of a "so what?" issue to me.

If the guy is the athlete you (and Hurney) believe him to be, he can play in the NFL. I certainly hope he can, and think he can, we'll see.

He wouldn't be the first rookie Fox shat on, and I will say this re Fox: if he says you're not ready to play, you're probably not ready to play.

It was certainly an interesting choice.

Had Fox ever shed some of his rigidity, he would have worked with Hurney to pick Tony Moeaki or Jimmy Graham, both very good possession TE's (upgrades to what we have now), to help a young crop of QB's out. Hell, Graham is a Goldboro native, so there's your fucking feel-good local shit.

But, what the fuck do I know?

I really don't quite get all the drama over it, he was obviously a redshirt, excluding the PR stuff that was hoped for (while immediate ROI would be great, we drafted him to be more; in the end we covered PR pretty well, years two and three are gonna be the bottom line).

    Same here.
