    IF we draft #1 :

Pick Luck (if he comes out), sign a veteran , decide between Clausen/Pike, trade the loser. (Moore is not resigned, obviously).

If Luck doesn't come out, Trade down a few slots to someone who really wants Cam Newton, and pick Nick Fairly(sp?) from Auburn.

If Denver wanted to swap first round picks and throw in Orton and a second round pick I would probably do it

This assumes Marty Hurney takes a job in Denver.

here's one - open next yr w/ clausen as the starter.

now that you've thrown up a little - we had better do something.

Id be very tempted by Cam Newton. Is he the next Vick/Young/Culpepper. You only have to look down at Tampa to get a glimpse of what that type of player can bring. But there are certaintly questions about his support group but I admit i dont know much about the whole NCAA thing. Can he be the face of the franchise, can he handle all that brings? Can he lead us for 10 plus years like a McNabb or McNair or will we be dealing with issues in 3 years like Vick, Young or our very own Kerry Collins?

This team needs a leader at QB, I know that much. As sucky as JC has been, he's still very young and its disturbing to see Smitty almost imlpy he hates the dude. I guess we should have expected bigger cracks by now but it always bugged me we never saw Jimmy and Steve talking on the sidelines like Jake.
