    Arnie Spanier rocks. I would love it if they could somehow get Czaban back, but I'm not holding my breath.

    Czaban is back in his home town of DC (since at least 2002). He ain't going anywhere. He's on Sporting News Radio from 6AM-10AM, with the last hour being a repeat hour.

    He's syndicated across the US. Why would he move to Charlotte and host a show in a shit sports town like Charlotte?

    Arnie Spanier works at CBS Radio Sportstalk station in Dallas-Ft. Worth . . . Not sure he would come to Charlotte (and take less money) to work at WFNZ . . . Like his gambling schitick on air though; Would the local market welcome it though? Hmmmmm . . .

    Czaban aint leaving home again (DC) nor is Penner (Philly) . . . I wish WFNZ would spend some money on a new voice/up and comer but why do I feel that they will take the cheap way out and promote from within again.

    Maybe Taylor Zarzour moves down here from the Triangle/Triad; Maybe FNZ could throw enough change at him to move into a Top 25 market . . .

    Recipe for destruction

    1. Out of control ego....Packer got too big for his pants and turned people off
    2. Tired, repetitive production....same ol' stuff wears thin over time
    3. Too much totally worthless content.....Johnny from Effingham is the most stupid thing imaginable (automatic channel switch)
    4. Gorging is boring....the repetitive descriptions of the artery plugging smorgasboard of crap they had hauled in there made me picture hogs at a trough slurping their way to a distorted gastro-heaven via their cardiologists office.
    BOTTOM LINE: Packer got some $$$ and got lazy and it showed every day.

    Agreed, while Spanier isn't my favorite host, he's national and has great connections. He's probably way better than anyone else they may be looking at, at least he's a professional.

    Heard they reached out to people like Chuck Howard, Jim Noble and Greg Bailey, just to name a few......and they all laughed.

    FNZ just isn't a player in town anymore.....can anyone say "format change"?

    I have trouble believing they contacted Bailey or Howard and they have already dropped Noble once .Can't see them offering him their lead show.
